Fully Compliant Scaffolding Inspection Reports

Scaffold Inspections Daventry

We provide a independent Scaffold Inspection with a full comprehensive published report given at every visit, this will enable the Client/ Principle Contractor to prove the inspection record of the scaffold should the need arise.  The bespoke report gives a percentage score and includes photographs and recommendations.

By law scaffolds must be designed and erected, then inspected before first use and weekly thereafter by a competent person who has the competence as that of the erected structure.

Our inspectors have worked within the industry and have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that the scaffolds are erected and maintained to the required standard.

Reasons for choosing an Independent Scaffold Inspector

The client is responsible for these weekly inspections, more often than not the client requests the Scaffolding Company or personnel employed by themselves to complete the inspections. This has its flaws as the scaffolding companies are "self regulating" and do not always highlight issues with the erected structure, leaving them unsafe and not erected to a conforming design.

By law scaffolds must be designed and erected, then inspected before first use and weekly thereafter by a competent person. Failure to perform these inspections has led to numerous accidents, many of which have had fatal consequences.

The problem that emerges is, in the aftermath of a major failure, one of the first questions that the HSE will be asking is "how did you know it was safe?”

They will be looking closely at the inspection records and determining who was responsible for maintaining the register, examining what training or experience that person possessed in order to enable them to be deemed 'competent' to do so.

Scaffolding Inspection Reports

Leaving aside the aftermath of a serious accident, the HSE are showing they are willing to prosecute site owners who do not secure the safety of all staff on site. With the emphasis on Work at Height it is more vital than ever that site owners protect themselves legally.
